Before assembling, make sure to dry fit the lock to ensure it fits your door correctly. If the key is binding, it may be due to the tailpiece being too tight and needing to be trimmed. This cylinder lock works with both vertical and 45 degree keyways, depending on the angle when the latch is extended to the locked position.

For keyed-alike cylinders for multiple patio door handle set locks, consider Prime-Line model number E 2104. Note that the components of these cylinder locks are not compatible with other Schlage locks and cannot be rekeyed. Schlage keys will not fit into this cylinder lock.
